Technical procedure of hybrid seed production for three-line hybrid II You 718

Abstract

The procedure of hybrid seed production of three-line rice hybrid II You 718 was developed successfully for spring cropping season. The sowing/transplanting date was recommended such that heading date of the cytoplasmic male sterile line (II32A)  sets in from 25^th April to 5^th May. The sowing time of the restorer line, R718, the R : A ratio, the A line spacing and the time of GA3 spraying were also suggested.
