Effect of Planting Density on Growth, Development and Yield of Groundnut Grown in Spring Season in Y Yen - Nam Dinh

Abstract

The effect of planting density on growth, development and yield of spring groundnut at Y Yen - Nam Dinh was studied using two varieties, L14 and MD7. The results showed that planting density strongly influenced the growth duration, branching, leaf area index, dry matter accumulation, number of nodes, number of pods and grain yield. Optimum density for both groundnut varieties under spring cropping conditions is 40 plants per square meter
