Effects of land use on agricutural land enviroment in Thuong Tin District, Ha Noi City

Abstract

In recent years the area of agricultural land in Thuong Tin district is decreased. Meanwhile, using of non-agricultural land has the effects on soil quality. The objective was assessment of these impacts on agricultural land. Four regional non-agricultural typical land use were selected in the district. The samples were taken in the area of agricultural land surrounding with the different distances from discharge sources. Agricultural land area as far from waste sources which from nonagricultural sector as little affected by the waste. The study found the impacts of waste made in the progress of using non-agricultural land to agriculture land. The contents of total nitrogen (TN) and organic carbon (OC%) in soils were increasing but the content of phosphorus (P₂O₅%) was decreasing. Agricultural land around industrial zone was contaminated by copper with content higher than allowed standard.
