Solutions to Increase Scientific Research Capability of PhD Students at Hanoi University of Agriculture

Abstract

Doctoral training is to train scientists with high theoretical knowledge, appropriate practice capacity, independent and creative research capacity, ability of detecting and solving new scientific issues and guiding scientific research. Using participatory research method a long with descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and seminars, scientific research capability ofPhD students has been evaluated. Factors affecting their research capability have been analysed. Finding show that research capability of the PhD students is still constrained by weak students’ paticipation in research activities at the trainning institution’s research, the bad connection between post graduate’s theme and training institution’s one, and weak implementation of the PhD students’ training regulations
