Influence of Plant Spacing and Nitrogen Fertilizer on Growth and Yield of Maize (Zea Mays) on Sloping Land Yen Minh - Ha Giang

Abstract

This experiment was conducted in order to valuate the effect of three plant densities (69,4; 79,3 and 92 thousands plants/ha) and four rates of nitrogen fertilizer in the form of urea (90,120,150,180 kg N/ha) on maize variety NK 4300 being grown on sloping land in Yên Minh district, Hà Giang province in the Spring-summer crop 2010. A constant level of 90 P2O5 + 90 K2O was used. The highest profit was obtained with planting density of 92 thousands/ha and 150 kg N+90 kg P2O5 +90 K2O/ha.
