Competitiveness of small and medium enterprises in Vietnamese garment sector: Current status and solutions

Abstract

Competitiveness of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam's garment and textile industry is assessed by a system of 09 expenditures, which is a relatively comprehensive indicator of the competitiveness of textile SMEs. May Vietnam. This indicator system serves as a basis for Vietnam's textile and apparel SMEs to develop their strengths and weaknesses. From the system of expenditure assessments on competitiveness of Vietnamese textile and apparel SMEs, the author proposes some urgent and necessary solutions in the current period with the aim to help Vietnamese SMEs have textile and garment. Can create higher added value, more involved in the global textile value chain.
