Abstract

Playing the role as the “blood vessel” of the economy,  digital transformation in the financial sector will be akey factor for overall digital transformation and driving digitalization process in other sectors. Each country has different strategies to achieve digital transformation goals in the financial sector. In the Asian region, South Korea and Japan are among the pioneering countries in improving regulations, policies, promoting the application of information technology, management, and supervision to carry out digital transformation in the financial sector and achieve economic and social objectives. This article examines the experiences of implementing digital finance in these  wo representative countries, drawing lessons for digital transformation in the Vietnamese financial sector.
