Abstract

Enterprise management is the core element of modern corporate system. The management reform of stateowned enterprises (SOEs) in China targets at enhancingthe reform of the SOEs themselves, establishing a
modern enterprise system, and transitioning from“enterprise management” to “corporate governance” to accelerate the formation of an effective management mechanism and a flexible market-oriented operating mechanism. This article analyzes the evolution ofChina’s state-owned enterprise management over last 45 years of opening up and reform, thereby proposing implications for Vietnam in the process of reforming the state-owned enterprise management model.
