Abstract

Together with the green economy and low-carbon economy models, the circular economy model is a solution for sustainable development. Promoting the circular economy model helps achieve the commitment to net-zero emissions, bringing benefits to the country, community, and businesses. Moreover, in the context of global economic integration, Vietnam’s participation in new-generation free trade agreements includes commitments to environmental safety standards,
making the adoption of the circular economy model essential for sustainable development. This article clarifies the importance, challenges of developing a circular economy, and proposes recommendations to promote this model in Vietnam.
