Abstract

Important decisions in the equitization of a state-owned enterprise are empowered to the Prime Minister, owner’s representative agency and Equitization Steering Committee. However, most direct implementation tasks are empowered to enterprise’s management board. Task implementation of management board plays an essential role in ensuring progress and result of state-owned enterprise equitization. This paper comments on the role of business leaders and managers in equitizing and restructuring state capital from both global and Vietnam’s perspectives.
