Abstract

Attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) is a major policy of the Party and State, contributing to the realization of socio-economic development goals. After more than 30 years of reform. FDI continues to be identified as an important investment channel for Vietnam to build a green economy, helping Vietnam quickly realize its orientations for sustainable development and green growth. However, the reality over the years shows that, besides the positive contributions and requirements of “greening” FDI capital, there are still many FDI projects that have negative impacts on the environment. In that context, attracting green FDI has become an imperative requirement in the current context.
