Abstract

The Environmental Protection Fund was established to raise fund from various sources, thereby allocating to support the implementation of projects or activities to improve the environment. Recently in Vietnam, the mechanism of the Environmental Protection Fund and the Vietnam Environmental Protection Fund has been used as an important economic tool by the State over environmental protection which effectively contributes to attracting investment in treatment and improvement of environmental pollution. The article assesses the performance of the Vietnam Environmental Protection Fund and offers lessons and recommendations to further improve the performance of the Vietnam Environmental Protection Fund.
