Abstract

In recent years, national digital currencies have experienced remarkable and significant advancements. Numerous countries worldwide have conducted research, experiments, and some have even officially launched their own digital currencies. This momentum as provided motivation for developing countries to begin preliminary research into issuing their own national digital currencies. The article focuses on analyzing fundamental issues concerning national digital currencies, studying regulatory experiences from various countries including Sweden, China, and the Bahamas. From these analyses, the article offers policy implications for Vietnam in the future.
