Abstract

In recent years, the global rice market has experienced significant fluctuations, with demand and prices trending upwards. Consequently, this has had a considerable impact on the rice market in Vietnam. In 2023, rice production in Vietnam took place under relatively favorable weather conditions, ensuringdomestic consumption needs and  achieving a new record for rice exports. The domestic rice market showed promising developments, with both domestic and export rice prices trending upwards. It is expected that in the near future, Vietnam’s rice exports will continue to have good opportunities for robust development.
