Abstract

Abstract: Based on the materials from the U.S archive, the article analyses the Dutch’s involvements toward the American war for independence. Firstly, the trans – Atlantic Ocean trade of munitions of war was formed by the inhabitants the United Provinces. In order to have benefit, they carried ammunitions to the North America battlefield. Secondly, the Dutch supported credits loans for the new republic. Finally, public opinion of the Dutch sympathized with American revolutionary ideals.
