APPLICATION OF THE WRF-CMAQ MODEL SYSTEM FOR ACID DEPOSITION ASSESSMENT IN VIET NAM

Abstract

Acid deposition is one of the serious environmental pollution issues because of not only its impact severity on human life and ecosystems, but also its impact scale. The impact of acid deposition extends beyond the control of an single country, thus scientists are considering its impact in regional and global scale. Acid deposition occurs in two different forms: Dry deposition and wet deposition. This article presents results on application of WRF-CMAQ model system for assessing wet and dry acid deposition in Viet Nam. Assessment of wet and dry deposition levels are conducted in January, April, July, October for the period of 2010-2015.
