The world is witnessing a rate of biodiversity and ecosystem degradation unprecedented in human history. Therefore, the United Nations General Assembly declares the 2021-2030 Decade for Ecosystem Restoration as the 2021-2030 period in order to replicate on a large scale the restoration of degraded ecosystems to combat climate change. climate crisis, improve living environment quality, increase food security, water resources and biodiversity. Viet Nam is considered as one of 16 countries with high biodiversity. However, like many other countries, we are facing many challenges when biodiversity conservation is closely related to economic development and social stability. The content of this research shows the current status, the basic causes leading to the decline of ecosystems and biodiversity globally, as well as solutions and initiatives of Viet Nam in efforts to restore the ecosystem. ecology and biodiversity in the context of global climate change.
