SYNTHESES AND CHARACTREIZATIONS OF LANTAN (III) COMPLEXES OF NAPHTHOYL TRIFLUOROACETONE AND O-PHENANTHROLINE

Abstract

      The complexe of rare earth metal La(III) with naphthoyl trifluoroacetone and ophenanthrolinewas prepared. IR and NMR spectroscopies were utilized for structuralcharacterizations of the complex. The results confirmed that the coordinated watermolecules were displaced by o-phenanthroline and that the coordination of the centralmetal ion is through oxygen atoms of β-diketone ligand and nitrogen atoms of ophenathroline.
