CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS OF THE BARK OF CRESCENTIA CUJETE

Abstract

    Five compounds, oleanolic acid (1), 4-hydroxybenzoic acid (2), methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (3),vanillic acid (4) and methyl vanillate (5), were isolated from an ethyl acetate extract of the bark ofCrescentia cujete collected in Ho Chi Minh City. Their structures were determined using NMRtechniques (1H NMR, DEPT and 13C NMR).
