CHEMICAL CONSTITUTENTS FROM EUPHORBIA THYMIFOLIA

Abstract

    From the ethyl acetate extract of Euphorbia thymifolia, seven phenolic compounds wereisolated, including syringaresinol (1), umbelliferone (2), brevifolin methyl carboxylate (3),(6R)-dehydrovomifoliol (4), loliolide (5), vanillic acid (6), and gentisic acid (7). Theirchemical structures were determined by extensive NMR spectroscopic analysis and comparedwith data in the literature. These compounds were isolated for the first time from this plant.
