SYNTHESIS NANO-CRYSTALLINE LiAVO4 (A = Co, Ni, Zn) BY COMBUSTION PROCESS

Abstract

    LiNO3, A(NO3)2.6H2O and NH4VO3 were used to synthesize nano-crystalline LiAVO4 bycombustion method using glycine as a reducer. The resulting products were characterized byX-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, energy dispersive X-rays spectroscopy, scanning electronmicroscopy and BET surface area analyzer. It was found that nano-crystalline LiAVO4 withinverse spinel structure. The degradation of m-xylene was studied at 350, 400 and 4500C overLiAVO4 catalyst. The oxidative degradation of the LiZnVO4 nanopowder was higher than thatof LiCoVO4 or LiNiVO4.
