STRUCTURAL CHARACTERIZATION OF TERBI (III) TERNARY COMPLEX WITH BENZOYLTRIFLUOROACETONATE AND 1,10 – PHENANTHROLINE

Abstract

    A tetrakis terbi (III) complex [Tb(BTFAC)3(phen)] (BTFAC- is benzoyltrifluoroacetateand phen is 1, 10- phenanthroline) was synthesized and studied by the method ofinfrared spectroscopy and single crystal X -ray diffraction. The results showed thatthe complex is mononuclear, in which three BTFAC- and one phen ligandscoordinated to a terbi(III) ion.
