SYNTHESIS, PROPERTIES OF MIXED LIGANDS COMPLEXES OF ACETYLSALICYLIC AND 2,2’-DIPYRIDYL N,N’-DIOXIDE WITH SOME HEAVY RARE EARTH ELEMENTS

Abstract

Some complexes of Ln (III) (Ln: Dy, Tm, Yb) with mixed ligands acetylsalicylic and 2,2’-dipyridyl N,N’-dioxide have been synthesised. They have general formula is Ln(Bez)3(DipyO2) (Ln: Dy, Tm, Yb; AcSa-:acetylsalicylate, DipyO2: 2,2’-dipyridyl N,N’-dioxide). The characterization of these complexes have been investigated by IR, thermal analysis and mass-spectroscopy methods. The coordination modes of the ligands to Ln(III) centres have been investigated by IR spectra. Massspectroscopy showed that the complexes are monomes. TG- curves indicate that the complexes are unstable temperature and anhydrous state.
