    The study presents the production and characteristic investigation of PBX explosive containing RDX and PU. The produced explosive possessed a high energy, strong thermal stability and sufficient operating ability. In addition, the composition of the produced PBX explosive and the nature of cross-linking agents have a strong influence on the energetic-technical properties of the explosive. PBX explosive, which met specific requirements, could be obtained by changing the abovementioned factors.
