This paper investigated the large-scale production and quality assessments of two types ofnitrocellulose (NC), namely NC-1 and NC-2, from Vietnamese refined wood pulp. The resultsdemonstrate that both the obtained NC-1 and NC-2 possessed high qualities that meet thetechnical requirements for NC used as a main material for the propellant production. Inaddition, procedures and operating parameters applied for NC production using Vietnamesewood pulp varied slightly; however, they still remained in the ranges recommended for NC production with imported wood pulp.
