Abstract

Titanium dioxide (TiO₂) membranes on glasses were prepared by sol-gel method. Raman and AFM spectroscopies mainly characterized them. The catalytic activity was tested in the degradation of phenol as a model compound. It was shown that all TiO₂ membranes had good photocatalytic activity and the influential parameters such as the phenol concentration, the particle size and the adding amount of ZnO have been investigated.
