Phytochemical investigation on Gyninotheca cliinensis Decne (Saururuceac). I - Triterpcne compounds

Abstract

Phytochemical investigation on Gymnotheca chinensis Decne growing in Vietnam led to theisolation of three pentacyclic tritecpenoids. On the basis of spectroscopic data, the structures of these compounds were established as 3 β -hydroxy-olean-12-en (β -amyrin, 1), 3 β -hydroxy-urs-12-en28-oic acid (ursolic acid.II) and 3 β -acetoxy-urs-12-en-28-oic acid, (3 β-acetoxy ursolic acid, III).
