A national value system is among the most important and fundamental issues of a nation and country. It creates the national identity of a nation and has very important epistemological, theoretical and practical significance for the development of a country. Researching, defining and implementing the construction of a national value system is a historical, objective and urgent necessity in our country today. This paper initially explores some of Vietnamese new national values such as the rule of law; human rights, civil rights; Vietnam’s socialist rule of law State of the People, by the People, for the People; socialist democracy and democratization; and socialist-oriented market economy. These are the new national values that have been received, formed, developed and promoted since the country’s renovation until now.
