Integration of Google and Microsoft products into teaching English

Abstract

This article reports a recent study in which Google Classroom, Google Forms, and Microsoft PowerPoint Office 365 were integrated into teaching English for second-year students at Hoa Lu University. Questionnaires, weekly reflections, in-class observation, and semi-structured interviews were employed as data collection instruments. The study aims to find out what the integration of technological tools benefits the students in learning English and what the challenges are. The findings revealed that the implementation of the tools created a learning space in which students were attracted and involved in the learning process. They showed their joys every time they went to the class, and they became active in learning. Based on the results, there are some discussions at the end of the paper.
