Objectives: The characteristic of clinical examination and CTScaner of IH, and the early postoperative complications of IPOM.

Method: Retrospective case series in Gia Dinh hospital from 03/2018 to 12/2020.

Results: We had 48 patients who performed IPOM procedure. The mean of age was 64.4 ± 10.5, including 35 women (72.9%), BMI was 24.7 ± 3.8 kg/m2, 45 cases (93.8%) admitted because of the protrusion hernia. The mean of operative time was 145.7 ± 48.2 minutes. 39 cases (81.3%) had closure of hernia defects. The mean of overlap was 5.2 ± 1.1 cm. Mesh fixation by protack, suture, and both of them were 3 (6.2%), 6 (12.5%) and 39 (81.3%) respectively. Postoperative complications were 5 seroma (10.4%), 1 enterotomy (2.1%) and 1 bladder injury (2.1%). The mean of hospital stay was 3.6 ± 1.8 days.
