Integration of operating data into housing architectural design in Vietnam: Solutions to controlling household energy consumption for achieving Net Zero target

Abstract

Abstract: Faced with increasing pressure on energy security,
climate change and rapid urbanization in Vietnam, the need to
improve energy efficiency in the housing area is becoming urgent.
However, most of the current efforts are still at the propaganda
level, lacking a real operational data platform and an effective
design feedback mechanism. The article focuses on analyzing
the barriers to controlling energy consumption, clarifying the
relationship between user behavior, gaps in data standardization
and the lack of integration in the architectural design process.
On that basis, a model of an integrated approach to energy
data monitoring system - using smart meters, IoT sensors and AI
platforms - is proposed to directly feedback on architectural design
in real time. The goal is to move from an emotional design model
to a data-informed design, towards a Net Zero building strategy
