Research on solutions to the adaption, preservation oriented management of construction entities with artistic, architectural, cultural and historical values to be preserved, restored and protected in Hai Phong City

Abstract

Abstract: In recent years, valuable architectural
works that need to be preserved, restored and protected
in Hai Phong city have been converted to serve different
purposes without complying with regulations on
management, use and conservation. Faced with the risk
of valuable architectural works gradually being lost,
appropriate management solutions are urgently needed.
However, conservation should not be in the direction of
"museumization", separating the works from contemporary
urban life like an "oasis", but should consider the works as
a living entity, organically attached to contemporary urban
life, promoting the value of architectural heritage in terms
of society, economy and environment, meeting the criteria
of sustainable development. The article studies solutions
for managing valuable works that need to be preserved,
restored and protected in Hai Phong city according to the
conservation orientation adapted to each type of work.
