Abstract
Abstract: The Mekong Delta is a fertile delta, with a natural
advantage of abundant alluvium, suitable for agricultural
development. Rivers and canals intertwine throughout the
region, flooding, and tidal influences all year round, causing
many difficulties in transportation. The development of the
Mekong Delta through riverside traffic systems has been carried
out for many years. The difficulties in developing the riverside
traffic system are that tides and floods often cause landslides and
road slides, causing many difficulties for residents in residential
areas along the river. Currently, in the entire Mekong Delta, every
province has works to protect riverbanks in residential areas and
along traffic roads that have suffered landslides and ground
slides, causing damage to social and personal properties. The
cause of landslides and slides is the design and construction of
riverbank protection in residential areas and riverside roads that
have not met technical requirements from survey, design, and
construction without considering the impact of tides and rain. This
study presents the qualitative principles to introduce to design
consulting firms, management agencies to recognize the design
and inspection process, bringing safety to society
