Analysis of some issues about materials used and their structure in the design standards for concrete and reinforced concrete structures (TCVN 5574:2018) that affect the design results of reinforced concrete structures subjected to bending

Abstract

This paper presents some issues about materials used including heavy concrete, reinforcement used in reinforced concrete structures and reinforcement detailings requirements related to the design of flexural reinforced concrete members. such as: concrete layer protecting load-bearing reinforcement, anchorage length of reinforcement, reinforcement anchoring requirements at supports, minimum reinforcement content specified in TCVN 5574: 2018 - national design standards Concrete and reinforced concrete structures have significantly affected the design results of flexural reinforced concrete structures.
