THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL ORGANIZATION MODEL OF THE RIVERSIDE VILLAGE IN THE NHUE RIVER GREEN BELT, HANOI CITY

Abstract

Abstract: Hanoi is traversed by rivers, each of which gives rise to riverside villages, each village has its own unique value and characteristics. In 2011, the Prime Minister approved Decision No. 1259/QD-TTG dated July 29, 2011, which approved the directions, tasks, and functions of the green belt along the Nhue River. Within this green belt along the Nhue River, there are variety of traditional villages with distinctive structures and many significant architectural and landscape values. Therefore, it is necessary to survey the current state of the landscape and village structures along the Nhue River, thereby proposing models for organizing spaces of village’s landscape and architecture in accordance with the general planning orientation of Hanoi capital.
