The impact of Internship on the work readiness of Pharmacy students at Nguyen Tat Thanh University

Abstract

    Internships play an important role in the undergraduate program of Pharmacy students to develop vocation expertness and build work readiness. The purpose is to analyze and evaluate the impact of the internship process on the work readiness of Pharmacy students. The study used qualitative and quantitative methods, the sample received 400 responses from students of the Faculty of Pharmacy - Nguyen Tat Thanh University, which is suitable for the survey condition. The results show that Internship experience and Work motivation have a positive influence on students' Work readiness, in which Internship experience (β = 0.470) has a greater influence than Work motivation (β = 0.382). Furthermore, students' Work motivation directly and positively impacts their internship experience. The results of the study provide valuable information for agencies, internship guiding businesses and universities to improve internship programs, thereby contributing to improving training quality and surpassing preparation for interns as entering the labor market.
