Study on peripheral analgesic activity of fractions in scorpion venom heterometrus laoticus scorpionidae
Abstract
Scorpion Heterometrus laoticus Scorpionidae in Viet Nam was proven to be toxic to animal and insect and have anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities. Besides, scorpion venom also contains elements affecting blood coagulation. Fourth fraction in 5 fractions separated from the crude venom has good analgesic activities. Secondary fractions separated from the fourth fraction by HPLC and conducted peripheral analgesic test by acetic acid writhing test. As a result fractions 4.6 (2,38 mg/kg), 4.7 (9,5 mg/kg), 4.12 (9,5 mg/kg), 4.15 (9,5 mg/kg), 4.16 (9,5 mg/kg), 4.20 (9,5 mg/kg) have peripheral analgesic activity at s.c injections . Of these, Fractions 4.6, 4.7 have the highest peripheral analgesic activity. Fractions 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 4.8, 4.11, 4.13, 4.14, 4.23, 4.24, 4.25 have no peripheral analgesic activity at 9,5 mg/kg dose at s.c injection.Downloads
