Abstract

Higher education is crucial for training, scientific research, innovation, and knowledge transfer for future-ready generations. The application of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by the United Nations is a strategic orientation at Nguyen Tat Thanh University via THE Impact Rankings’ methodology as an assessment tool and direction for action. The changes and limitations in the implementation of activities towards the Sustainable Development Goals are examined based on the evaluation results after two data submission cycles. The results show positive modifications in the implementation and reporting mechanisms for sustainable development. Several long-term solution proposals are presented to raise awareness/ literacy among stakeholders and promote cross-sectoral collaboration, innovation, and social responsibility to build inclusive education environments towards achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in a sustainable and effective manner.
