The Current State of Health and Associated Factors in Female Textile Worker in Dong Nai Province in 2022

Abstract
The garment industry is making a huge and important contribution to the national economy, with a majority of its workforce being female. However, as the occupational safety have not been adequately ensured, the working environment has still potential risks that may adversely affect the female workers’ health. In the Southern Vietnam and specifically in Dong Nai province, there are very few research on the occupational environment and health of female workers. Therefore, the present study described the current status of the working environment and the health assessment of female workers at some enterprises in Dong Nai province in 2022. Research results show that the health of female workers is mostly classified as average (type 3) (62.6%), followed by good type (type 2), very good type (type 1), weak type (type 4) 32.2%, 2.2% and 3%, and do not have weak type (type 5). Environmental characteristics such as microclimate, light, noise, dust, and toxic gases at the surveyed businesses did not exceed standards. This result aims to contribute to enrich the data, thereby serving as a premise for occupational health research in the future.
