Abstract

Studying the influence of dyestuff and auxiliaries concentration on the color intensity of dyereactive dyes for cotton fabrics. The finding out the concentration of dyes and auxiliaries to
contribute to building the optimal dyeing technology process. The study using pretreated 100%
cotton fabric was dyed by the continuous method (squeezing - steaming). The effect of dye and
auxiliaries concentration on the color intensity of reactive dyes. The experiments were similar
conditions of process as temperature, time of dyeing but change intensity of dyestuff and
auxiliaries. The results show that increased the concentration of dyestuff and auxiliaries, the color
intensity of the fabric after dyeing also increases. However, when the concentration of dyes and
auxiliaries increases, the color intensity of the dyed fabrics does not increase or even decrease. The
results of research can contribute to finding the optimal dyeing technology process for cotton
fabrics with reactive dyes to help use dyes and auxiliaries effectively, avoid waste and cause
environmental pollution.
