Abstract

The lead content in seafood (dried shrimp, dried small shrimp) is detected
by a graphite furnace atomic absorption spectroscopy (GF-AAS). The reliability
of the quantitative method is determined by the limit of detection (MDL) at
0.0066mg/kg, and the limit of quantification (LOQ) at 0.021mg/kg. The
repeatability and the reproducibility (RSD%) are at 7.68% and 9.99%, and the
recovery is from 96.19% to 101.71%. The lead content from 0.0590 -
0.1291mg/kg investigated by the GF-AAS is under the required index in
Vietnamese National Standards TCVN: 5649-2006.
