Applying abrasive waterjet machining technology on alloy parts with thin
thickness or parts made of machined difficult material is considered as one of the
promising alternatives to conventional machining methods. However, to
perform this technology effectively in industry, more researches are required to
control depth machined. This study presents the results of machining on
aluminum alloy Al6065 with abrasive water jet. The cut depths of samples are
compared with the predicted depths using the previously published
experimental model. The results show a high accuracy of machined depth in the
comparision with the error less than 10%.
