Abstract

The effect of material on the humidity content of fabric was studied through
the use of 04 fabrics with the same twill woven pattern but with different
materials (100% cotton, 100% polyester, TC, CVC). Fabric samples were
experimentally conducted: Determination of yarn density according to TCVN
1753: 1986 standard; Determining fabric composition according to standard
5465-1: 2009; Determine the weight of fabric (g/m2) according to TCVN 8042:
2009. After determining structural parameters, the fabric samples were
measured moisture in accordance with TCVN 1750: 1986. From there, assessing
the effect of the material on the moisture content of the fabric. The results
showed that: The blending ratio of cotton and PE affects the humidity content of
the fabric. The higher ratio of the cotton in yarn and fabric is, the higher the
fabric humidity content is, and vice versa. The research results are the scientific
basis for the selection of fabric materials for sewing workwear for students of
Hanoi University of Industry.
