PROPERTIES OF ORIGINAL MORTAR AND RESTORATION MORTAR

Abstract
In this study, 10 samples of original mortar taken at the monument and 04
samples of restored mortar taken from craft villages were examined and
evaluated. The chemical composition and physical properties of the samples were
analyzed. The test results show that 03 layers of restored mortar have the same
properties as the original mortar, meet the requirements and can be used to
restore decorative mortar components in the monument. This is the basis for
proposing the traditional mortar production process.
