IMPROVING THE ACCURACY OF TIME DELAY ESTIMATION USING INTERPOLATION TECHNIQUE APPLIED IN SOUND SOURCE LOCALIZATION PROBLEM

Abstract

This paper presents some results of research on solutions to improve the quality
of next time difference estimation using in sound source positioning problem using
TDOA principle. In which, a solution is proposed to improve the next time difference
estimation error using interpolation techniques applied to the general cross-
correlation function. On the basis of theoretical analysis and conducting Monte-Carlo
simulations on Matlab, combined with data collected in actual conditions, the paper
will evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed solution.
