Abstract

In teaching communication etiquette, cultural factors play an important role in determining the rules that people need to follow in communication. When young children perform communication rituals, they mainly come from personal experience, what they observe and learn from relatives. Communicative actions are often spontaneous and natural reflexes. Entering first grade, when taught about communication etiquette, children can perform it in a standard way, consistent with social culture. Knowing how to choose language and non-verbal elements appropriate to the culture of communication in society will help children carry out effective communication rituals and build good relationships.
