Abstract

This paper examines the green transition process of Khanh Hoa province within the context of global sustainable development. Its primary objective is to assess the challenges and opportunities faced by the province and propose practical solutions to foster sustainable growth, aiming to elevate Khanh Hoa to a centrally governed city by 2030, as outlined in Resolution 09-NQ/TW (28/01/2022). The study highlights the province’s significant potential in renewable energy, blue carbon credits, ecotourism, and high-tech aquaculture. Early successes have been observed in solar and wind energy projects, while the ecotourism sector continues to attract more visitors. However, the province still faces challenges, including underdeveloped infrastructure, inadequate policy support, and limited public awareness of environmental protection. To achieve its sustainable development goals, Khanh Hoa must focus on improving infrastructure, refining policies, and advancing digital transformation through technologies like AI, IoT, Blockchain, and QR codes. These solutions aim to preserve the environment and biodiversity while stimulating sustainable economic growth, ensuring the province's long-term development.
