Abstract

Khanh Hoa Wild orange tree (Citrus hystrix DC.) is a highly adaptable species, has good resistance to external conditions and has a very high essential oil value. Results of experimental grafting of Wild Orange’s rootstock on grafted varieties of green-skinned grapefruit, Sanh orange, Soan orange and Duong tangerine showed that the graft survival rate was relatively high: Green-skinned Grapefruit 94.6%; Sanh orange 93.8%; Soan orange 95.7% and Duong tangerine 77.4%; Grafted varieties have the ability to grow on rootstock; The graft/stem diameter ratio is rated at level 5 on a scale of 7 in terms of compatibility. The trend later gets closer to 01. The research results provide scientific data for the evaluation, storage, conservation, and effective exploitation of wild orange genetic resources.
