Abstract
The study focuses on experimental research on the operation of a gasoline injection engine combined with an electric supercharger. In which, the effect of the supercharger on the emission concentration of the engine was considered. 1NZ-FE gasoline injection engine with the supercharger was used for the experiment. Parameters of CO and HC emission concentration were collected to analyze and evaluate the effect of the supercharger. The experimental results showed that when the engine operated with the support of the supercharger, the CO and HC emission concentration were significantly reduced. During the operation of the engine, at the supercharger’s motor speed mode of 1000, 1500 and 2000 (rpm), the average CO concentration decreased by 8.7%, 16.6% and 24.8% and the average HC concentration decreased by 11.9%, 20.5% and 29.4% as comparing to the case of engine without the supercharger support.
