Abstract

Japan stands as a leader in digital transformation, characterized by innovative policies and significant shifts in digital behavior. This article explores the current landscape of digital transformation in Japan, employing content analysis and logical reasoning as primary research methods. The research results indicate that although Japan has achieved significant accomplishments in national digital transformation, it still faces various challenges, including risks related to personal data usage, the increasing spread of fake information, a shortage of young talent in the digital transformation sector, and slow public awareness of technology. Based on the limitations and lessons learned from Japan, from a regional studies perspective, the research derives several key insights for the digital transformation efforts of developing countries, such as investing in the training of young talent, ensuring personal data security, establishing robust cybersecurity systems, and fostering international collaboration in digital transformation initiatives.
